Nebraska Christian is a fully-accredited, private, Christian University in Papillion, NE. Nebraska Christian recently became a campus of Hope International University in California and added graduate programs and a lineup of new undergraduate degrees as well. The campus is made up of traditional and non-traditional students, with a focus on academics and a unique model of practical work experience.
NC places a focus on hands-on intentional coaching and mentor-ship with the goal of truly preparing students for the real world. These internships frequently lead to a yearlong off-campus residency during the senior year, a 20-30 hour full-time internship, and the partnership with HIU has expanded options for residency.
Schedule flexibility is a draw to NC’s online courses, and students appreciate that the academics are still rigorous and that they still get intentional coaching; they partner with an academic coach one-on-one and get plenty of personal attention. Online students are also encouraged to come on campus to attend the Institute for Church Leadership, a weekly lecture series and networking opportunity.
Student life at NC is community-focused at every level. Advisors are interested in talking to students not just about academics, but about life updates and decisions. House groups are split by gender and meet for an hour each week, which fosters a sense of belonging among students in the community they’re surrounded by.
NC’s goal is to offer students something more beyond a traditional education. Whether a student wants to pursue a career in ministry or a path in business, counseling, or education, NC prepares students to live their something more.
The next online start dates at NC are October 17, 2016 and January 23, 2017. Visit our website to learn more!
